Table of Contents
SEVAA provides a trusted local presence for ageing parents and families who may be living away from them. Our services may include Wellness Companion visits, check-in calls, companionship, practical everyday support, appointment coordination, health and medical coordination, family updates and other agreed support.
SEVAA is not a hospital, clinic, diagnostic centre, nursing agency or emergency medical service. SEVAA services do not replace professional medical, nursing, emergency, legal or financial advice or services.
You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase or enter into an agreement for SEVAA services. If you arrange services for another person, you confirm that you have the authority to provide the information, permissions and instructions necessary for the requested services.
SEVAA offers membership plans with different levels and frequencies of support. The services included in a membership are those stated on the SEVAA website or otherwise agreed with the family.
Service availability may depend on the location, individual requirements, scheduling, Companion availability and other practical considerations. SEVAA may reasonably modify service arrangements when required for operational, safety or scheduling reasons.
SEVAA may assign a Wellness Companion based on the requirements, availability and suitability for the individual receiving support. SEVAA takes reasonable steps to maintain an appropriate and trustworthy Companion network.
A Wellness Companion is not a substitute for a qualified doctor, nurse, therapist or other licensed healthcare professional. Companions will only undertake activities that fall within the agreed scope of service and their role.
To help SEVAA provide services safely and effectively, clients and families agree to:
SEVAA may assist with scheduling, coordination, follow-up, accompaniment and communication as included in the applicable membership or separately agreed service. SEVAA does not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medicines or make medical decisions.
If an individual experiences a medical emergency or requires immediate medical attention, the family or individual should contact the appropriate emergency service or healthcare provider without delay. SEVAA may assist with escalation or communication where reasonably possible, but does not operate as an emergency medical response service.
Membership fees are payable according to the membership selected and the payment terms communicated by SEVAA. Membership pricing may vary based on the level of support and individual requirements.
Transportation, medicines, groceries, diagnostic or laboratory charges, physiotherapy, home healthcare, appointment-related expenses and other third-party or direct out-of-pocket expenses are separate from the membership fee unless expressly stated otherwise. Such expenses may be charged at actual cost.
Any additional service or expense outside the agreed membership should be discussed with and authorised through SEVAA before it is incurred, wherever reasonably possible.
Memberships may be cancelled by contacting SEVAA through the contact details provided on the website. The effective date of cancellation, notice requirements and treatment of any pending or completed services will be governed by the membership terms communicated to the client.
SEVAA may suspend or terminate services where there is a material breach of these Terms, non-payment, unsafe conduct, misuse of services, or circumstances that make continued service delivery impractical or unsafe.
SEVAA takes reasonable steps to support safe service delivery. If an incident, complaint, safety concern or allegation arises in connection with a service, SEVAA may review the matter, communicate with relevant parties and cooperate with appropriate authorities or professionals where necessary.
Clients should not make direct cash payments, personal loans or other private financial arrangements with a Wellness Companion in connection with SEVAA services. Any SEVAA-related additional expense should be communicated through SEVAA.
SEVAA will take reasonable care in providing and coordinating its services. To the extent permitted by applicable law, SEVAA will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from the use of its website or services, or for matters outside SEVAA’s reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law. Where permitted by law, SEVAA’s total liability arising from a claim relating to a paid service will be limited to the amount actually paid to SEVAA for the relevant service, subject to applicable law.
